Production Update & US Tariffs

Hello potato-fans!
It's time for a production update on Yōtei!
Manufacturing Update
Production is progressing well and remains on schedule! During the final production checks, we identified one small improvement we'd like to make to the box that contains the Deluxe Edition starting player tokens. This requires a minor adjustment to the box template to ensure the finished product meets our quality expectations. Aside from this small refinement, everything else is moving forward as planned, and manufacturing is currently expected to be completed towards the end of this month!
Regarding US Backers
We want to inform our US backers about the pending import tariffs. Final tariff fees (ranging from €1 - €3, depending on your pledge tier and ordered quantities) will be added to your pledge orders very soon. Consecutively, we’ll start locking your orders and charging your cards starting tomorrow, July the 16th. You’ll receive a Backerkit notification as soon as your card is charged, but no action is required on your end, unless you haven’t finalized your pledge yet.
Note:If you backed this project using "Sign in with Apple", you may not have received your pledge manager invitation. Apple ID logins can generate encrypted email addresses, which are known to cause our invitation emails to bounce. We have already contacted all affected backers via Kickstarter messages, so please check your Kickstarter inbox to make sure you have received your invitation and follow the instructions provided there.

Pledge Manager is Live - Please Complete your Info

Hello everyone!
Over the past 2 weeks, our product team has been busy finalizing production for Yotei! We have seen the first prototype samples from the factory and are now waiting to receive them. The first batch of wooden items has already been manufactured and sent to the factory, while production of the second batch is currently underway.
At the same time, we are finalizing the artwork for the last few components, and everything should be ready to go to print very soon. The limited wooden boxes are also ready - we are just waiting for the final details from the last few backers regarding the names to be engraved so they can be completed.
All of this means that, starting now, we will begin sending out the pledge manager invitations so we can finalize ordered quantities and move forward with printing!
The Pledge Manager is live
We have teamed up with Backerkit to send out a simple pledge manager invitation so we can collect the information needed to fulfil your rewards and get your copies of Yotei to you!
The first “smoke test” invitations have already been sent out to 5% of backers, with the remaining invitations scheduled to begin rolling out tomorrow, Thursday the 21st onwards. Invitations are being sent directly to the email address linked to your Kickstarter account. If you do not receive yours by the end of this week, please make sure to check your spam folder. No worries if you still cannot find it - we will continue re-sending invitations regularly over the coming weeks until everyone has finalized their pledge manager.
Note: If you have used a secure Apple ID login while backing this project, you likely won't receive a pledge manager invitation - Apple ID logins create an encrypted email address, which is known to bounce back our invitation emails; in that case, just let us know about this by sending us a DM on Kickstarter, or contact us at [email protected] and we can revert your email and send you the invitation there.
The Backerkit mail includes a link that invites you to finalize your pledge, add extra copies and/or add-ons, upgrade your pledge and pay for shipping.
Important information for Batch 1 backers:
Your pledge manager needs to be completed by May 31st so we can finalize numbers and start production as soon as possible. This means you should finalize the number of ordered copies and any add-ons so we can lock your pledge order.
Don’t worry - if you need to update your address or settle your payment later on, you will still be able to do so, and we will inform you accordingly. For now, the important thing is locking down your final ordered quantities.
Regarding Batch 2 backers:
The pledge manager will remain open until the end of June to upgrade your pledge and add any additional items to your order.

Hello everyone!
4321 times thank you!! It's been an amazing 3 weeks, but don't worry, the end of the Kickstarter campaign does not mean that you won’t hear from us anymore!
As we move forward to bringing this experience to your tables, we will update you on development, manufacturing and shipping!
What's next?
Right now, you don't need to do anything. In the following 2 weeks, Kickstarter will collect all the funds and we will import all data into Backerkit - the pledge manager.
In about 14 days, you will receive a Backerkit survey link and be asked to complete your Backerkit survey. This survey will invite you to finalize your pledge, add extra copies, add-ons, and pay for shipping. We will post an update once these Backerkit invitations go out!
BATCH 1 backers: Before May 30th, you will have to complete that survey. Why so fast? Because we want to start printing Batch 1 of Yotei as soon as possible, which means we need to lock down the final ordered quantities to send to the factory.
BATCH 2 backers: You will have a little more time to complete your survey. You will be able to finalize your selection by June 12th, but we will also inform you when you need to lock down your final pledge order.
Don't worry - in case you need to update your address information, you can still do that later-on, close to the fulfillment date. For now, it's important we know your country and final order quantities to input the accurate shipping costs and prepare for production.

Did you just get here or do you know someone who still wants to pledge? The late pledges are going live right now! You can still pledge for the Deluxe Edition of Yotei - and any remaining limited add-ons - until June 12th.

During this campaign, we've been dropping some gorgeous wooden add-ons created by Kumagera in Japan! You can add the cutest Japanese pins, wooden stickers, and even a wooden magnet set, to your pledge! We're still missing a few names for the Wooden Box Edition. If you’ve backed the Exclusive Wooden Box Edition pledge level, please make sure to send us the name(s) you’d like printed on the box. If we receive your details after this date, your Wooden Box Edition will be produced in Batch 2, with delivery expected by April 2027.
